Liked: The location of The Old Custom House is in the middle of Padstow - our room was large and beautifully appointed with a lovely view over the harbour. The bed, mattress and pillows were very comfy and the linen and towels fresh and clean. There was a good selection of tea and coffee with a Nespresso machine, bottled water, biscuits and a couple of cans of local larger. The breakfast was fantastic with really good local produce. The welcoming was warm and friendly.
Disliked: The shower had no pressure so I couldn’t wash my hair. This was disappointing having spent £159 on the room - one does expect a decent shower for this price. There was mould on the ceiling of the bathroom and the tiles in the bathroom could do with a damn good clean. The Old Custom House is an old building and tired. The whole place needs a damn good sugar soaping to clean up all the walls, woodwork and doors, the carpets in places are threadbare and need replacing. Most of the woodwork needs sanding and repainting. If they upgraded the furniture and the whole establishment in general they could charge a lot more money for the rooms.

Liked: Loved the view, comfy room, food and atmosphere.
Disliked: Bit noisy at night. Would ask for a room further from the front and bar next time, but that’s just our preference.
