Wonderful place to stay and...

Liked: Beautiful breakfast….perfect poached eggs. Staff did everything they could to provide excellent service. Lovely rooms, fab shower, excellent bar and beer.

Great hotel with its own...

Liked: Fantastic breakfasts including the made to order ‘Brewers breakfast’. We had really tasty dinners while we were there (the mushroom & Stilton mac’n’cheese with salad and also chicken’n’tarragon pie with mash & root vegetables) washed down with their fabulous real ales brewed on the premises.All the staff were very friendly and our room spacious and comfortable. The overhead shower was powerful with plenty of hot water.The hotel is nicely located midway between the railway station and the city centre.
Disliked: We both found the wi-do was a little intermittent and there was a small leak from the fan in the bathroom otherwise everything else was excellent.

Liked: The cleanliness was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money. Fabulous evening meal. Brilliant breakfast. Will definitely visit again. Central location. Beer brewed on site was amazing and so reasonably priced and is available take away in cartons. Also dog friendly. Have a large covered outside seating area too.

Exceptional

Liked: Lovely stay, room was well presented with comfortable beds. Staff were great, lovely breakfast!! We arrived after 4pm and were lucky enough to find a car parking space opposite where there are a few spaces 4pm till 10am. It was short walk from the town where we needed to go for a function, no taxi needed.The restaurant/ bar area looked lovely especially as it was decorated for Christmas ✨
