The Ocean Key Virginia Beach Resort, Virginia Beach

I made reservations two months before and requested an Oceanside room. I was told they would add a note to my reservation and it wouldn't be a problem. I also called the day before to be sure I was getting an Oceanside room and was told yes and that they also see the note on my reservation. I did not get an oceanside room!

Liked: The room size.
Disliked: The elevator.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER

Liked: If I could give it a 0 I would!! Booked for one night but didn’t get there until late so I decided to book for an additional night with my kids so they could enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub after my son’s basketball tournament. Finally got to the hotel at midnight to find out the indoor pool and hot tub were out of service. At 6am the room phone rang and woke me up to tell me that they had an issue with the reservation and I had to switch rooms even after I verified that I would not have to do this. So I pack up all our things and go to switch rooms. I was by myself with 3 kids and waited for the elevator for 7 minutes and it never came. My older 2 boys took the stairs and took our things to our new room (tried to get a snack out the vending machine and it took his dollar) while my daughter and I went to switch out the room key. I get to the front desk and explain my frustrations at the point the MANAGER who was sitting at the desk beside the lady I was talking to on her cell phone. Asked what the problem was. With an attitude. At this point I’m tired and everything that could go wrong did and I was done. So I told her I didn’t have time for her attitude and tried to get my key. Words were exchanged and she kicked me off the property. VERY unprofessional and rude!!

Will definitely stay again

Liked: Location is great, very affordable stay compared to other places in the area. Room was immaculate and had everything you needed for a great stay. Kitchen area was well stocked
Disliked: Pool was down during our stay. The pump was broken so the pool was dirty and unusable
