Just a little reminder a...
Liked: Lovely little hidden gem ! Well signed posted from the main road but could do with light out side as it was dark when we arrived and we did drive past . Room … very nice big room we had booked a family room 2 adults .. 1teen and 1 dog yes DOG FRIENDLY… and the bathroom well it’s was massive ( bigger then a standard bedroom) Owner … he was lovely and very welcoming in the morning and. Cooks a lovely hot breakfast … dogs are allowed in the dinning room as well . The hotel is a lovely old house with a lot of original touches still there … due to being Old house the stairs are very steep so If u do have mobility problems u might struggle with the stairs as I did ( I have a knee problem ) ….. if your a mug person take your own there is only little cups in the room lol
Disliked: No a very warm welcome when we arrived 2 young girls at the bar ( what turned out to be the owners daughter and a member off the staff ) …. Long story short…. No food available. We was told they is plenty off Chinese’s around and go and find one the owners daughter … Was given the key to our room and we was standing there for a good 5 mins as the girl ( the member off staff ) did not know how to use the till and did not tell us where we had to go … … we was asked what time we wanted breakfast to be told it was between 7 am and 9 am Erm we had booked a family room but our teens bed was just a mattress on the floor ( they was not a happy bunny ! Out teen took the dog out and when they came back to the room they said there was a group off your people down stairs all at the bar and they was a little uncomfortable ( I did say to the owner and he told me they was sorting out a Halloween party so I passed that on to my teen … One thing I will put is please keep a close eye on your little kids near the windows just because the room we was in I went to open the top window and yeah only part off it opens and the glass was moving so that got closed … and the window ledge was rotten but that’s what u get in a old house

Dave and Mel perfect hosts...
Liked: It's a beautiful family run hotel in a lovely location, Dave and Mel the hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay, felt like home from home we were so comfortable there, the grounds were very pretty and have a cute outside seating with each table having a heater. The breakfast was 10/10 and will definitely stay again, and thank you so much for making us so welcome, Angie Darren Julie Barry xx

Budget friendly comfortable hotel in...
Liked: Good location for the place we were visiting. Bed comfortable and room good size.
Disliked: Facilities lacked a little as had to ask for and wait for a while for a hairdryer but it was provided, would have just been more ideal to have one in the rooms.

Ideal for my need
Liked: Friendly staff, breakfast was good, the room was spotlessly clean and the location was ideal for my needs.
Disliked: The hotel is tired and in need of modernisation if it is staying open.

Liked: Friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable and clean room.
Disliked: Carpet going up to the room needed hovering and the dining room could have done with a sweep.
