Liked: The hotel and the area have a uniqueness about them. We’ve never had such a positive initial feeling about a place as we had about Lynton and the North Cliff. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The funicular is a godsend. The Valley of the Rocks a revelation. We can’t wait to return.

Liked: Wonderful location, amazing sea views. Only ate breakfasts at hotel, well cooked, delicious, excellent selection cereals, porridge, fresh fruit, full English. The evening menu also looked good but we ate out during the day. Very friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome.
