Good value for money, would...

Liked: Hotel was very easy to find from the train station and then a short walk to local shops and takeaways. Being on the top floor meant we were far from the noise of the pub. Room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Beds were comfy and shower was pretty good.
Disliked: The main room got very hot in the night so had to open a window, though the secondary room was stone cold. Toilet seat didn't fit properly and a couple of floor tiles in the bathroom were coming up. Shampoo provided was pretty poor.

Comfortable but shower requires attention

Liked: Location was helpful, bed was comfortable and staff friendly.
Disliked: Shower is broken and not suitable for guests until repaired.

Disgusting place and even worse...

Disliked: First of all I’m not very fussy we travel a lot and we just wanted somewhere to stay for 2 nights. Got in our room and the first thing was the smell! Musty and bad drains, bed so uncomfortable, bathroom was very dirty, bad sewage smell coming from bathroom drains, shower went hot and cold whilst in it, terrible noise from underneath room ie could hear toilet hand dryers going off constantly! Went down and asked could we change room. Offered another room and it was worse! Booked for 2 nights and checked out after 1st night. Paid £117. Complained to the girl behind bar when we handed keys back and asked could we be refunded for 1 night. She went to ask the manager and they refused

Basic room, comfy bed with...

Liked: The location to the Memo was great with easy access in and out of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly.
Disliked: Couldn’t open the shower door to access the shower and the hot water tap had limited supply due to the machine it was running off. There was noise within the hotel at 3am. No wifi.

Liked: Staff were very friendly, had a good night's sleep on a comfy bed
Disliked: Unfortunately the chef was not in so there was no food available, yes the room was very tired looking but at the price I could overlook that for a one night stay

A good value stop over...

Liked: The shower room was en-suite, i thought it was a shared bathroom, so a good bonus. There was a clothes rail (although others mya see this as a less pretty version of a wardrobe) it was perfect for drying damp walking kit over night,
Disliked: The shower head was a little broken, it had been taped together but kept falling off the clip that holds it up

Convenient and reasonably priced.

Liked: The room, unexpectedly had 2 comfortable doubles, great for daughter and I. The location perfect for where we were going. TV in each room. Reasonable rates.
Disliked: Check in was via a young lady who appeared not to be working at the time and under the influence of alcohol, not very professional. The water pressure in the shower was poor. The room was located in the attic, very low beams. No chef for some time apparently, so no meal in the evening and no breakfast available. You get what you pay for.
