Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was OK
Disliked: The room was very poor and no-one came an made the room up following my first night, there were issues with door handle and the shower room was very small and not easily accessible

Exceptional

Don't bother booking this place...

Disliked: On arrival our room was already occupied and then offered a substantial room. I asked for a refund, and they refused.

Excellent value for money, easy...

Liked: Really welcoming staff, busy but all very clean.
Disliked: A lot of steps to rooms but all v clean.Breakfast good

Everything else was good.

Liked: I didn't have breakfast. Location was ok.
Disliked: The shower door wouldn't open properly had to get help, the shower handle was broken falling down on the rail and the staff could have offered me what was available to me e.g. Wifi and told me where to drop the room keys only found out last night before I left.

Passable

Liked: Good location for the railway station
Disliked: Shower didn’t work, it was freezing cold in the room, very limited parking, was not told there were so many stairs to the room

2nd time staying

Liked: It's the 2nd time I have stayed overnight here. I love it cos everyone is very welcoming and clean. I am hoping to go back in the near future.
Disliked: The bathroom was a bit small but not too bad and still accessible even as I'm a bigger lady.

I have stayed in cheaper...

Liked: The bed linen was clean.
Disliked: There is no food available on an evening and if you require breakfast it is £7.50 extra per person. The floor looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Every time water was used in the building there was a noise from some sort of pump. They are looking for people to come in and buy drinks as they have TVs on in the bar and a turn. Not the best night’s sleep with the pump going off all the time and people banging doors. Lots of stairs to go up and no lift. Wouldn’t stay here again

Superb

Pleasant staff, cold room, ok...

Liked: Young man was very friendly and offered to help with our bags. Easy parking on the road near the property. Our room number 4 upstairs was 2 rooms. A double and a single bed then there was another room with 2 singles. Family room but there was only 2 of us and it was so cold. I should have read more of the reviews before I booked, when I read them after it shows that the heating is always broken and not working. This place would be fine for the summer months. Also toilet seat doesn’t fit on the toilet. So when you sit down the lid of the toilet seat falls on to your back!! When I was in the shower the water went cold for a while too! ( as my husband brushed his teeth) so even though it’s an electric shower it still goes cold when someone puts the taps on!
Disliked: Heating wasn’t working. So freezing in the large room. They had no electric heaters to give us. Needed a shower but no hairdryer. Asked but they didn’t have any. We went out to a local shop and bought candles to put on and bought a cheap hairdryer!! So in the end it wasn’t to bad! Someone in the next door room had their Telly on loud until about 3am! Had probably fallen asleep watching Tv! ( which was annoying when you’re trying to sleep)
