Pictures are misleading- does not...

Liked: Nice staff, good location
Disliked: The property is nothing like the pictures! Most of the areas pictured aren’t there/no longer exist - very misleading. Looks cool and quirky- very dated old and unkept

New Yorker reminisce of old...

Liked: I like the quaint style of the hotel, it was something from 50, 60's era yet it was current in 2025. I enjoyed my stay. We were on lower level and it was very quiet, got a lot of rest and it's right close to Route 66 Taco restaurant which was delicious. The nachos are amazing and very filling enough for two. We met a family celebrating his daughter's 40 birthday and they shared a meal with us, it was catered in the courtyard was great wholesome fun. I never had vegan ice cream but they rented truck and it was delicious. It was in downtown area of Miami, can't wait to return. Would stay again. The bed was comfy, the ac not too much but we didn't need it. We had free Netflix and TV worked great. Wifi was good too. If you are in Miami, I would choose the New Yorker! Close to everything!
Disliked: I don't have a dislike, I just think it could had been more cleaner - I don't recall but one time someone was cleaning the units, but no one knocked we just heard someone outside and it was a cleaning lady, she gave us towel & wash rags.

Miami Visit with friends for...

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at The New Yorker! The room was a nice size for the 4 of us. The refrigerator in the room was a huge plus and there was a microwave available in the common area. There was coffee available most of the day which we enjoyed and morning bagels and cream cheese also a big plus. We used the pool a couple times and it was clean and enjoyable. The surrounding landscapes helped minimize the feel that we were in a concrete jungle. There’s a nice park across the street that has a Saturday farmers market I recommend! There is a Mexican restaurant with outdoor seating open until late night which was such a benefit and the food was fantastic!!! So was the food across the street at the Italian restaurant- authentic btw!! The room was kept clean and the staff especially Nancy at the front desk were very helpful! We definitely recommend this hotel if you don’t mind Ubering or driving to where you need to be as it is not centrally located.
Disliked: While there is a “market” across the street the staff send you too if you need something it is not really a market. You can get something to drink and small snacks but that’s it. When we looked on a map it seemed the hotel was closer to downtown but it’s a good 20-25 min uber drive. If you like to walk, which we do it is a 2 hour walk to get to Bayfront Park and South Beach which were our destinations. You could get to Wynnwood within an hour. If you wanted to eat elsewhere plan for a 20-30 min walk if you don’t have a car. We decided no car this trip. I would say location is the 1 thing we would caution you on depending on what you have planned for your trip, if you have a car etc. It really is a big shame the bar is no longer open!! The outdoor area there is so beautiful and inviting that the bar being closed is a disappointment and would be a fantastic plus!! We understand it has been closed since COVID - I am sure it added great character to an already cool oasis!

It was just Ok. Nothing...

Liked: It was a was nice little place to stay for a night. I wouldn’t stay longer.
Disliked: Rooms were super small. The traffic all through the night was so loud. You could hear ppl walking above. It sounded lime they were rearranging furniture. They were so loud.
