The New Yorker A Wyndham Hotel, New York City

We ate at the hotel restaurant. The bed was comfortable. The room was a nice size and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We valet parked our car and it was taken good care of. We would stay at the Wyndham again.

It's a very old hotel but it is in a fantastic location for Manhattan. The price is exceptional for a NYC hotel and it is a clean, safe place to stay. Rooms were a little small but wouldn't stop me from staying again. Friendly staff.

Pleasant

Disliked: I reached out to the hotel regarding my daughter’s birthday. I got no reply. I also mentioned it at check in and didn’t even get an answer or eye contact from the lady checking us in. We had to leave our luggage for 1 hour on day of checking out and were charged $20. After paying thousands to stay there this was disappointing!

Liked: Beautiful views of the New York City skyline from our room. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be back.

You will need something to...

Liked: Location is PERFECT. If you want to be closer to the principal tourist places in New York, this hotel is perfect.
Disliked: I have to be clear hear, it’s not hotel’s fault but maybe an extra recommendation people arrived late and they were really loud.

Great location if you want...

Liked: Proximity to Madison Square Garden and Penn Statuon.
Disliked: The hotel is tired and needs updating and a good cleaning. Having AC/heat above the bed is a major design flaw.

The hotel doesn't have parking!...

Liked: The location is good.
Disliked: Parking was bad! The hotel was supposed to have parking, but it did not. They sent me to park in another building, a block away from the hotel. When I was leaving, they charged me for parking there!

Could be better stay.

Liked: Hotel is an old establishment, no updates, so enjoy the nostalgia feeling. Provided a taxi pickup from airport to hotel, a nice service.
Disliked: No heat in the room when temperature was below 40° at night during my stay. I told the concierge but nothing was done. Bath tub was worn out with cracks and peeling, hot water came on & off, while taking a shower. Carpets are old, taped down with duck tapes.
