Liked: Bed, breakfast, helpful staff
Disliked: The entire property is in need of refurbishment - the Inn is a historic site and is under new ownership. The declining quality of decor in the rooms and connecting areas is very noticeable - however the rooms remain comfortable, warm and quiet.

A great place to stay...

Liked: Comfortable bed & excellent breakfast
Disliked: Very disappointed that despite signs advertising real ales that there were no hand pumped ales on offer. I had to go elsewhere to source them.

Liked: Outstanding beauty building,excelent staff, lovely pub ,location heart of Gloucester
Disliked: State of building,but built in 1400 ,difficult for renovation I guess,So its amazing that is still there.

Altogether a good stay apart...

Liked: We didn’t eat in but friends advised us it was good value.
Disliked: Unfortunately although bathroom a good size there was no storage or even a shelf to put toiletries on. There must have been a shelf at some point over the sink as there were brackets but shelf not replaced when it must have been broken. A bit inconvenient to keep packing toiletries away as no hooks either to hang anything up. Storage was a bit sparse in bedroom too. Very small drawers.

Liked: Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
Disliked: Some of the communal areas need some TLC.

It's cheap for a reason

Liked: Nothing much to like other than a piping hot powerful shower
Disliked: Noisy air conditioning vent outside room. Curtains didn't pull fully across. The parts of the room visible were clean but behind bed and skirting boards very dusty. Couldn't get quite a few channels on the TV. Everything very dated, staff not particularly interested in customer service

Good
