Staff too noisy for afternoon...

Liked: Room was clean.
Disliked: Staff very noisy; shouted long conversation on cell phone midafternoon on walkway, which could be heard throughout courtyard. Very early in the morning, a loud conversation and a cart rumbled along the walkway, waking us up. Tully coffee in room is bitter. Powdered eggs at breakfast were watery. Very few non-caffeinated tea options.

Great place with kind and...

Liked: This property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We needed to be close to Stanford Hospital for a family members serious medical emergency and it was a hit far but doable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for extra pillows and water bottles which arrived five minutes after our request by a very kind staff member. The free parking was a huge bonus. We also appreciated that they offered free bottled water instead of charging us $8 for a bottle of water that costs them less than $1 from Costco. Great service and great price.
Disliked: The beds are hard. My husband thought they were ok, firm yet he could sleep on concrete if necessary. I like a medium / soft mattress and even firm if it has some cushion but the mattress in our particular room was way too hard. Rooms are small but manageable, and definitely more a motel vibe with the doors going straight out to the parking lot. I prefer a lobby and nighttime front desk staff etc. We got a room at the Westin, closer to Stanford Hospital for $10 more the next day.

Great resting place

Liked: I've stayed at The Nest each time I have visited Palo Alto. Extremely clean and made sure I was happy with my stay. I will continue to book with The Nest because I am sure of their excellent customer service.

Disliked: Wish it had a mini fridge in the room

Good value

Liked: The outside fire place was relaxing. Wine and beer sold at the office/bar. Free hot breakfast. Quiet and close to Stanford Hospital. Short drive to their downtown main street.

Poor

Liked: bed was ok
Disliked: breakfast was below par, same for room service, price was higher then top hotels in top locations, we were misleaded by the pictures found on internet.
