No sleep - long night
Liked: The bed was comfortable
Disliked: The bathroom rug was soaked -seemed to be from the guest before ugh And there were very loud noises coming from the bathroom pipes for a solid hour at 2:30am. I called management and they said they had no idea ? The coffee was available in the morning But no real milk.

Fantastic weekend getaway! The food,...
Liked: Historic, clean and super comfortable! The staff was amazing and the food was the best I’ve had in some time! Couldn’t ask for a better location in Frenchtown!
Disliked: The price of the room with the tax is pretty high. But I have no complaints about our stay and it was worth it to finally get a nice weekend away. This place is great.

Antique Sweetness
Liked: The hotel is under new ownership and has been nicely renovated. stayed here 3 years ago. The place was dead of patrons and the beds horrible. That is no longer the case. The hotel was hopping during my 3 night stay.
Disliked: N/A

Great music, bar and restaurant.
Liked: Real Review: Frenchtown is a wonderful little town along the Delaware river. Cute shops, path's for bike riding and hiking, plenty of art related stuff, coffee shops, cafe's. A perfect little town for October leaf peeping. The hotel has a perfect location in he center of town, with a big front porch. The bar is one of the best "hot spots" in town. Its busy, friendly, and they make good drinks. Both nights that we were there, there was jazz in the bar. Both of the groups (bands) were EXCELLENT. A great choice of music. Dinner in the dining room was very good, if a bit "standard". The dinner and drink prices were good, the portions were good, and the preparation was good. The dining room and bar service were prompt. There is plenty of free parking around back. All in all, a very good social bar and dining experience.
Disliked: The hotel portion does not live up the standards of the bar and restaurant. The check in process is clumsy, and the credit card is charged the full amount up front while you stand in the middle of a dining room. There is no lobby or lounging area, as it is all restaurant and bar space. All of the guest rooms are up the central stair case. If the first impression of the hotel is the carpeting on the main stair case (very dirty, old, torn), its not a good one. Our room was very large, but the bathroom and closet were very small. There wound be plenty of space increase the size of the bathroom. The soap and shower gel were empty, the shower was very small, the ceiling was low, and there were no glasses or cups in the bathroom. The mirror was at chest level, small sink, no counter space. Bathroom experience-awful. There was also a very large industrial exhaust fan from the kitchen located just below our room. The room vibrated when it turned on and off. The price was very expensive. Perhaps its just supply and demand, and there are very few places to stay in the area. So you cant blame the hotel for trying to make a profit during a peak season weekend. But value for the money was not there.

A great place to stay...
Liked: This is an excellent, newly renovated and updated historic hotel in Frenchtown, NJ. The owner and her staff are very professional and attentive. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The hotel bar has jazz performances on weekends and is a lively place for a fun drink. We plan to return when we are in the area again.
Disliked: We have no complaints.
