Christmas gift
Liked: Bought 1 night here for a Christmas gift to my son and daughter in law, they loved the room, great sea view, perfect location

Felt just like the scimitar...
Liked: Immediately greeted with a smile and an attentive member of staff.
Disliked: Not a great deal wrong at all, everything was as expected. Dated but very well looked after interior that was clearly built to last.

Nothing fancy but perfect location...
Liked: Lady was very helpful on arrival, telling us about good, dog friendly places to eat and giving advice on parking. The room was spotlessly clean and had a nice view of the sea. We only stayed for 2 nights so didn't really see anyone else after that but that wasn't a problem as we could come and go as we pleased.

Liked: The owner of the hotel was very accommodating and helpful and friendly, he tried to fix the TV in the room but couldn't, so he brought me another one, he told me where to go for a nice long walk and he was really kind.
Disliked: The hotel at first felt a little bit like I was walking into the Bates Motel in the Psycho movie! this might sound a bit strange but it was dark, it smells damp, there was no atmosphere at all, there was nobody around at all when I entered the reception.... in the bar area the seats were upturned as if no one had been in there for years. In short it didn't feel like the kind of place where you could pop down to the bar and have a friendly chat with the barmaid or sit on your own and read and feel as if you were amongst human Kind it was really weird. In short it just felt like the hotel that time forgot even though the bedroom was clean and the man gave me a sea view for the same price which I really appreciated, the rest of the place felt as if it had been abandoned.
