Little Birthday Getaway

Liked: As soon as you approach the front door, you are greeted by the valet attendant, who is very friendly and approachable. Sandra at the front desk was so sweet and nice. She upgraded our room for free. We only stayed for a night but it was very comfortable. There's a bar and restaurant in the hotel as well. The younger guy working at the restaurant was so friendly and attentive. I like how you had the option to sit outside on the patio and there was also a gym available for use. We will definitely be staying here again.

Overpriced and disappointing service.

Liked: After a one week stay I very much enjoyed leaving the hotel.
Disliked: I agree with others who have commented: "inferior customer service," "rude" and "understaffed." (In particular, "the lady at the front desk.") I also agree that open-slatted barn doors to the bathroom offer "no privacy" at all, allowing for the unwanted sharing of bathroom sounds and odors. (And bathroom and room were never cleaned particularly well, as you will read in other people's comments as well.) I also found it surprising that 100% of hotel staff wore regular street clothes. No matching shirts, not even name tags. BTW. I sent the hotel manager a detailed 12-point review. Two weeks later I have not heard back -- and I'm still waiting for a REFUND for a modest overcharge. Breakfast was disappointing. Restaurant was understaffed, again, as others have written. Dirty seat cushions and floor. Oh, and then there was the waiter who told me I was "being a child" for patiently explaining that when I said, "Could I have a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso inside?," I did not, in fact, mean that I wanted the latte he delivered. But wait, there's more! He then went on to explain what I SHOULD have said in order to get I wanted. (Should I, perhaps, have been more specific???)
