Hotel Description
In 125 acres of stunning grounds this resort has a 9-hole golf course with beautiful views towards Dartmoor and Exmoor and over 40 different activities. There is free Wi-Fi and free parking and Dartmoor National Park is 25 miles away. The luxury self-catering lodges have all modern conveniences including an open-plan living space with a washer/dryer American fridge/freezer electric oven and hob. Each lodge has a private deck with a hot tub and an alfresco dining table and chairs. The Manor House has vaulted brick ceilings and stone walls and offers luxurious rooms furnished with antiques. Many rooms have picturesque views and all have TVs and facilities for making tea and coffee. You can play a game of tennis on the all-weather tennis courts or try your hand at archery ax throwing or attack sense for an additional charge and the swimming pool gym and fitness classes are complimentary. There is a croquet lawn and open woodland for children to play in and explore. Fresh Atlantic fish and locally reared meat both feature on the menu in the Cellar's bar &area Restaurant. A full-cooked breakfast is available each morning. There is also The Bistro restaurant as well as Library Bar on the resort. South Molton is a 15-minute drive from the hotel and Barnstaple is 25 minutes away by car. The nearest North Devon beach at Westward Ho! is 20 miles away.

Beautiful place and accommodation

Liked: Absolutely beautiful grounds very well maintained.. the Lodge was spacious clean and warm.. hot tub was also very clean and regularly checked. Unfortunately we were only here for a short time on this occasion... but we will be back for longer. Full programme of activities available...

The resort was wonderful but...

Liked: Difficult to get to with the winding narrow roads but once there the property was amazing. The lodges were lovely - clean, modern and well equipped with the best beds and linen ever!!

Resort needs some TLC

Liked: Good location Room very clean.Staff politeEvening meal was great
Disliked: Bathroom was tired and needed updating. Also in general the resort needs a bit of a refresh.peeling paint on lots of windows. Overflowing buckets of sand filled with cigarette buttsCooked Breakfast was small, single rasher of bacon and single sausage. Both of which were overcook. Rasher was rock hard
