Liked: Friendly and helpful staff. Evening food was good; breakfast is cooked to order, with a good choice available. Rooms are well furnished and good quality. The hotel is welcoming to dogs and you can eat in the bar area without having to leave pooch in the room.
Disliked: Minor problem - be aware that not all dog-friendly rooms are ground floor. We forgot to specify this and the stairs were a bit of a challenge for our ageing hound. The hotel would have moved us but they were already full for the night. Solution - just ask for a ground floor room.

Liked: Wonderful friendly atmosphere. The staff are outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and they were super helpful. Very comfortable room and quality of food was very good.

Disliked: Perhaps the hotel and rooms ready for an update, but still to be recommended.
