Fantastic food, friendly team, but...

Liked: The food was outstanding. The staff were very nice and the property itself is very charming.
Disliked: At £160 a room, we were surprised to find there was an outdated TV that had no HD channels and wasn’t a smart TV. It was like a step back in time with the pixelated programmes! Also, the bath was extremely shallow and the water was so very hot and the shower screen caused a puddle on the bathroom floor, so we were paddling a little for a while, after using the shower. Also, as the food was to such an incredible standard, it was a shame that the coffee wasn’t better. It wasn’t awful, but whether we ordered a flat white, cappuccino or latte - we got a super, almost scaldingly hot, bland coffee topped with overly frothy milk.

Great value and high standard.

Liked: Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Very clean. Restaurant is very good.
Disliked: One of our rooms was above the bar and the noise from the bar below went on into the small hours. The other was beautifully quiet.
