Exactly what I needed for...

Liked: Breakfast was very nice, room too.
Disliked: Clearly not enough seating at breakfast. I found a table for 2 and said if you have another single room occupancy looking for a table they can join me. Which they did. Staff were good and quick to clear and reset tables.

Superb

Liked: The building is beautiful. It was clean and they left a birthday plate for my daughter.
Disliked: The road works outside but that's not their fault

Central hotel with excellent staff

Liked: Beautiful building with many original features.The staff without exception were excellent Breakfast good Dog friendly and able to eat breakfast in the bar with the dog
Disliked: It was a cold week with minus temperatures and the heating only came on at 5pm although check in is 3pm. We were provided with an electrical heater but lack of double glazing meant the room needed the radiator on for longer. Restaurant wasn’t open bar menu limited

Liked: Lovely welcome from Reception staff, spotless room, convenient free parking, great location, fantastic breakfast and lovely Carol in the restaurant. Will definitely return.

Liked: Old building good location
Disliked: The room was cold. I had to put a jumper on to try to get warm enough to sleep. The heating went off and there was only a lightweight summer duvet even through it was Feb. The room was noisy and I could hear other residents. There were no sockets by the bed or many in the room for laptops etc.
