We paid 59 pounds for a pretty good room and breakfast. Can't fault anything for that price. Would definitely use again. Really close to Leeds Academy.

Disliked: The food wasn't! They heated up a £1 frozen pizza and delivered it to me in my room for £17. For that price it should be a proper pizza like its meant to be when ordering room service. Absolutely shocking!

No noise notice

Liked: The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice. There was plenty of toiletries, not those diddy bottles you get in some hotels, so you could have a proper wash. The room was nice, the tv works and there was a decent tea/coffee selection in the room. The central location was very handy. Such a shame the building was under construction.
Disliked: The hotel contacted me multiple times before our stay to see if we wated to upgrade things or add extras. Not once in any of their communication prior to arrival did they state that the hotel was undergoing building works or construction. A heads up would of been courtious and some complimentary earplugs would of been the bare minimum given that we were woken up before 8am by huge items being dragged across the ceiling of our hotel room. The banging alongside that was very irritating. The bed wasnt the comfiest and thus a wrestless night sleep followed by an early wake up call from the builders did not give a great impression.

We were looked after well.

Liked: There was an issue with water leaking through the bathroom ceiling, but we were relocated to a new, and larger room very quickly.

A little disappointing

Liked: Great location, hotel undergoing work, was very noisy, room looking tired. Water muggy
Disliked: Work being carried out directly above us, water in room was dirty and muggy and no cold water. Room looking tired

A great value stay in...

Liked: Very friendly staff. The room was fine, and breakfast was great. The hotel is in a fabulous location and it's a lovely historic building. Great value for money
Disliked: There are building works going on that spoiled the experience a bit (visually - there wasn't any noise) but it did spoil the effect a bit
