Liked: Location is good. A pleasant drink in the bar. Otherwise, a highly disappointing stay. I addressed my complaints with the manager at check out, with satisfactory outcome, although left highly disappointed as this hotel did not meet expectations.
Disliked: Avoid the dark rooms overlooking the National bar. The room is dark , so rather depressing. The noise of music and crowds continued until 2am, so we couldn’t sleep. Horrendous! At breakfast- no one to greet guests and show to tables, guests milling around, uncertain where to sit. An extremely rude member of staff complained about us standing beside our table to greet friends. It is not acceptable to be spoken to in that manner- he could have made his request to us politely. Other little things, eg no toilet roll and dirty floor in bathroom in main foyer. Overall a highly disappointing stay.
