A good long weekend

Liked: The property was lovely. Very quiet
Disliked: I didn’t realize that they severed a continental breakfast. Breakfast was very ordinary. As I have never used recreational drugs in my life, I found the scent of them offensive in the house. I understand that it is legal in MA but not everyone enjoys it.

Lovely Inn

Liked: Perfect location, decor, outside porch, outside grounds, beautiful room, beautiful common place, lots of reading materials.
Disliked: Breakfast could be better. There were muffins and danishes but no plain bread/rolls. So only sweet options.

Liked: The owner/mgr is friendly and attentive. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. The investment in the new decor is fabulous!! It is truly a luxury property and a great location.

Liked: Historic beautiful spot in Nantucket!
Disliked: Inn keeper was in the house and never came out to greet us at all during the stay. He spoke to staff but made no effort to welcome us as guests or even say good morning. Also, there is a TV in the main common sitting area the evening we stayed a couple had the political news blasting on TV and then a loud football game. We chose the Martin to have a relaxing and quiet stay with the TV in the shared spaces and no regulation on use and time for guests we unfortunately were not able to sit down in that area for a quiet spot to read or just even relax. TV should have been in rooms instead of common areas as it being on the entire evening we stayed was not conducive to a relaxing bed and breakfast environment especially with political news channel and then a football game blaring.

Liked: Warm and welcoming from the front door in.. we had a slight difficulty with an upstairs room because of husbands recent knee surgery.. our host was above and beyond kind.. sorted a fabulous downstairs suite for us.. would highly recommend The Martin to any traveller and we will definitely go back..Elizabeth

Liked: The Martin was beautiful. I arrived a little early and my room was clean so my key was waiting for me with a welcome letter. The innkeeper was available if I needed anything. My room was lovely with an attached bathroom and had everything I needed.
