Disappointing

Liked: The Marcliffe has changed and not for the better, very regular guests however not sure we will be back which I never thought I’d say. Very tired room, construction work outside room with work at 8am. The restaurant has went from outstanding to very average with agency chefs and it’s very noticeable. Breakfast buffet area gone as are most of the regular staff, says it all really. New owners/management have put profit over service and are ruining an institution at an alarming rate

Liked: The decor and the staff were exceptional. They made sure our stay was as enjoyable and welcoming as possible and couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was great too!

Liked: I was very impressed with the Marcliffe. The rooms were really nice and the staff were exceptional. The breakfast was also excellent.
