Disliked: Room very small for amount paid, bathroom EXTREMELY small, tacky furniture.Food very expensive Some staff need to at least pretend they enjoy their job!

Disliked: I was in the cottages, hard concrete floors, a lot of noise from above.

Amazing. Apart from breakfast

Liked: Everything was great. Bell tower suite was fantastic.
Disliked: Breakfast was a massive let down…. After paying all that money, to find it was a hot buffet style breakfast was a massive disappointment. Choice was average and what was there, wasn’t cooked the best. Considering the amount of guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast should have been freshly cooked to order 100%. This would have to change in order for me to re book here again.

Such a let down

Liked: The hotel is imposing. The room was a good size. Nice big bathroom. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Staff seemed very put out when we arrived at 2.40pm on the off chance our room was ready 20 mins early. Our room was above the preparing area and kitchens. The noise was phenomenal, I don't think there could have been any doors closed and our room (no 2) was over the stairs to this space. Staff were talking very loudly and swearing, clattering and banging everything until I shouted out at 11.15pm. We are not particularly noise sensitive as we live opposite a community club. I don't totally blame the staff as they need to do their work. They tried harder to be quiet but it was still noisy. Then breakfast prep started around 0530 with loud trolleys being wheeled across the tiled floors with crockery clinking and loud voices etc. I think guests should be made aware of the problems with this room as this ruined our stay. We love our breakfast when away, but this was buffet and not great. All such a shame because this place has such potential but the staff didn't really seem suited to hospitality and facing guests relationally.
