Disappointing - don’t waste your...

Liked: It was close to Highcliffe Castle
Disliked: It is very dated. There were cobwebs in the room and bathroom. The cup in the bathroom was dirty. The mattress had a big lump right down the middle. Pillows were very flat. There were lots of old chairs outside the window. The hotel is quite noisy with people coming and going and doors opening and closing. Breakfast felt very poor quality. Portions were small, greasy, toast was burnt. Staff serving breakfast seemed very inexperienced. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived for breakfast and it took 15 minutes to get a coffee. On check out, I mentioned all these problems and was told that there was nothing that could be done but was promised a call from the manager. 4 weeks later and we still have not heard from the manager. It would’ve been quite a bit cheaper to stay at the Premier Inn up the road and we would’ve had a cleaner room, better sleep and better breakfast.

Enjoyable stay near Highcliffe Castle

Liked: Very close to Highcliffe Castle on foot, around a 20-min walk from Hinton Admiral station. Nice and spacious room with twin beds. Friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: Location was good for Highcliffe castle where we were attending a wedding reception. Surroundings for breakfast were nice.
Disliked: Our room was smaller than expected and dark. Breakfast although tasty, was limited and basic.
