Accommodation did not meet expectations

Liked: Breakfast and location good
Disliked: Room was poor. Poor lighting, and in need of a revamp.

Good apart from disco disturbance

Disliked: Room: disco on Friday and Saturday night underneath our room. The noise was very loud until midnight.Parking is good for short time and overnight but had to feed meter which meant going down before breakfast.

Thoroughly enjoyed

Liked: My husband said they made them feel so welcome and they had his room ready early, as he’d organised his engineers function there. All the staff were lovely. Food was excellent

Disliked: Room was small but OK, window was opaque as was the bathroom so natural light in room.Fire alarm woke us up at 5am ,spent 45mins in street but all OK false alarm

Great hotel in great location

Liked: Perfect location and would definitely stay at The Loopy Shrew again for that reason.Lovely, comfortable room. Very helpful staff.The breakfast was really delicious.

Disliked: Rooms very warm and decor a bit tired . It is a very noisy location . Alarms went off at 5am and had to evacuate and fire crew attended. Staff were lovely though and no fault of theirs .

Great room and venue, shame...

Liked: The room was nice. The bed was really comfy and there was a clean and modern bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast was lovely and there was a good choice. I really cannot fault the room or food.
Disliked: The fire alarm went off at 5am. We waited out in the street until the Fire and Rescue Service arrived and dealt with the issue (around 30mins). This is clearly all unavoidable but we were concerned that there was obviously no one there on duty at the premises with us throughout the night. Someone did arrive after a while from elsewhere but didn't speak to us, do any kind of head count or go through the list of guests to make sure no-one was still in the building. Nobody spoke to us at the time or later that morning when we checked out to explain what the issue had been, as there clearly hadn't been a fire.
