Superb

Great location and beautiful room.

Liked: Stunning room, lots of space and beautiful decor. Nice seating area with coffee table to relax. Lovely bathroom with great smelling toiletries. The pool and sauna was a great addition to the stay. The Christmas decorations and open fire were lovely.
Disliked: Self serve coffee/toast at breakfast. The staff were pleasant and did a great job but there wasn’t enough of them! Stayed at a different hotel the night before and the service was much better/quicker as they had more staff. One person taking orders isn’t enough for a hotel that size and unfair to the one member of staff. It makes a massive difference from good to excellent.

Peaceful, perfect place for hiking.

Liked: We have stayed here many times but usually in the main hotel part. I liked this side more it was very quiet. Breakfast was great.
Disliked: We ate dinner in the bar , it was disappointing. Mine was incredibly oily. Chips were not well cooked. Other meals were slightly underwhelming except the ham sandwich.

Liked: The facilities including the Sauna & Swimming Pool were lovely.The hotel was very clean and a place you wanted to spend time in.
Disliked: Little Inn opposite - Room 11 was a fabulous size room but had a bathroom like a telephone box.The cooked breakfasts were a 6/10 at best. The food looked like it had been left on the hot plate for too long. Majority of staff very friendly and helpful. However the Italian girl was at times abrupt

Great hotel in Lovely lakeland...

Liked: Superb room. Staff were extremely pleasant. Pool across at the main hotel was really nice. Food was excellent and they had some pretty good local real ales on in the bar.
Disliked: Nothing. Everything was spot on from check in to check out.
