Disliked: The HAVC ( heat and air conditioning ) is extremely loud .

Cozy stay in CT countryside

Liked: What a beautiful and cozy hotel to use as a jumping off point in the area. The room was very large (more than big enough for the four of us in my family) with very comfortable beds and nice linens. The bathroom was also modern and I always appreciate a separate sink/mirror from the shower/toilet when traveling with my children and husband. We will definitely stay at this property again.
Disliked: It's a bit out of the way, but as are most hotels in this part of CT. We had a rental car so it was pretty easy to get to nearby towns. There is a delicious pizza place just a few minutes from the Inn that I highly recommend!

Superb

Liked: I was extremely happy with my room. Beautiful and spacious. I think I was given the wrong room but I didn't mind as it was so lovely. Absolutely beautiful hotel.
Disliked: There was a loud buzzing noise coming from the hallway I could hear loudly in my room. I asked about it and they seemed to have some look.at it the next day. Breakfast was average. I expected more from a hotel like this.

Royal treatment

Liked: It was elegant and comfortable. I felt like a.queen in our king bed.facing the fireplace, and the marble tiled bathroom was palatial in size and style! I love the lounges with books and chess, and my son loved the cocoa and cookies available all night!
Disliked: I would have preferred more access to streaming services without using our home passwords.

Liked: The inn is beautiful, and was decorated elegantly for Christmas. I loved the working fireplace in the great room on level one. Also, the snack/refreshments area was exceptional with home baked chocolate chip cookies, chips, soda, and a cute Harney Tea box set. Our room had a smart tv, which we could use to connect our phone and stream Netflix, Hulu, etc… on top of the many complimentary cable and movie channels offered.
Disliked: There were a few spots on the carpet in our room that were wet… I’d assume they were stains that were recently treated or scrubbed, but hadn’t dried yet. So that was a little off putting. Nothing I made a big fuss over though. And the tub/shower was a little awkward because of the creaking and unstable-feeling floor beneath it. Granted, I’m a 200+ pound man, but it definitely could use some repair.
