Great stay at this hotel; definitely recommend this hotel.

Disliked: The room was very dated. My room was located over reception and I could hear everyone coming in and out even with the windows closed. Also, my room was across the hall from the lift which was very noisy, I didn’t get much sleep at all with that going off all night

Pleasant stay but the room...

Liked: The breakfast was good it was buffet style. My wife had hers cooked separately due to an allergy This was excellent service The location was excellent opposite the Cathedral. The car park again was good . The staff were attentive and nothing was a problem
Disliked: The hotel is dated with 60' décor. There was a musty smell in the corridors. The room was ok but it needed a deep clean. Dust and cobwebs . The furniture was dated and damaged. The bathroom was small and requires a new shower fitting when I used the shower the water sprayed onto the bathroom floor I turned it down but this did not work. This sprayed on to the bathroom door which was water damaged at the bottom

Exceptional

Liked: Very friendly welcome, all the staff were very polite and helpful...easy to find excellent car parking facilities. We were even allowed to leave our car there when we quecked out, so we could go and look around Lincoln.... Fantastic location very opposite the cathedral so fantastic views from our room... It's was very clean and comfortable. Really good breakfast too, massive choice and nothing was to much trouble.

Shocking

Liked: The Hotel is situated opposite Lincoln Cathedral
Disliked: The room was very basic, the bathroom wasn’t very clean with faeces all way round the top of the toilet top( see photos), The price we paid to stop here for 2 nights was shocking for what we got.The main complaint we had was the breakfast on day one (Saturday morning) once seated we went to help ourselves to the breakfast, there was no Bacon or eggs available or brown sauce asked the waiter who said they were on the way 10 minutes later they arrived but then there was no beans.Then on the Sunday morning it was utter chaos in there we went down at 9.10am and people were queuing outside the breakfast dining room and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table.Once in there that’s when there was a huge problem there was nothing in the serving area other than black pudding NOTHING ELSE, no bread,pastries,water for tea, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms hash browns, sausages, scrambled eggs, the serving area was about 10 deep with people waiting for the food to be brought out, we waited 20 minutes and still not a item came out I asked a waitress who I later found out was the duty manager when is the food coming out to a sarcastic comment and quite rude the way she said it that we’re doing the best they could, I understand there was a wedding party the night before and the hotel was pretty full, but they know the amount of people who were stopping in there hotel and should have had the staff and the food knowing this.We visit Lincoln regularly but will not stop here again and advise anybody reading this not to either
