70's Retro looking Hotel, with...

Liked: The hotel must have been built in 60/70s and has that retro look about it. However, it's been well looked after and has clearly been updated and renovated. I don't think they really went in for charm when building hotels in those days but it does have a nice feel about it. The location is close enough to what's going on but remains quiet and peaceful. It looks over the Cathedral and is just a short walk from the shops, bars and restaurants at the top of Steep Hill.The room was great, no problems and everything worked well.Breakfast was a very good buffet with pretty much everything we needed, and the staff were always helpful and attentive.The whole stay felt comfortable and relaxed.
Disliked: Everything worked well, and the hotel was cosy and warm so no complaints.However, either a faster machine, or another one, would certainly help with the queue for coffee at the buffet.If that's the worst thing that we found though, it's not so bad is it?

Ideally situated by the Cathedral

Liked: Comfy beds, good size room. No noise. A great breakfast. Lovely staff, especially on reception. The location of the hotel is perfect as we went to a concert in the Cathedral and its only a few minutes walk away.
Disliked: The lighting in the bathroom wasn't that good as the light over the mirror didn't work. I needed it to put my make-up on. We also had issues with the toilet being blocked.

Liked: Great location, bar and restaurant was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Parking after paying for it unable to actually park in car park. Rooms very small and basic.

Liked: Locatin was very good. The breakfast was good and staff friendly. The room was a good size.
Disliked: The room I would like to have looked out on a garden rather than the wall of another house. The room smelt as if someone had smoked cigarettes or it was stale.

Liked: Friendly staff. Ideally situated for the historic part of Lincoln. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet.Photo was taken whilst Sat eating breakfast. Beautiful view of the cathedral.
Disliked: The hotel is quite tired.
