Worst Hotel Stay of my...
Liked: The location was near Meow Wolf, which was why we chose to stay at The Lexi.
Disliked: Everything else was horrendous. In my 17 years as a travel advisor, I have never experienced a stay as truly awful as our stay at The Lexi. It included everything from unsafe practices, with hotel staff entering our room WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING without our consent, to broken sinks, showers and air conditioning, to excessive noise both nights making it impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. Amenities were non-existent, and multiple attempts to rectify the situation were ignored. Avoid at all costs.

Lexi is a basic girl...
Liked: The staff were very friendly. The facility has a lot of potential with there being a bar, outside patio and an interesting lobby. From the outside, the driveway is really inviting and the entertainment scheduled looked really interesting. We didn't have a 420 room, but did partake some smoking out on the patio and everyone seemed cool with it. The pool was closed in the evening for the 'pool party" so we never saw it as we were out all day - can't comment on that. Of course, we visited in November so topless bathing wasn't a priority.
Disliked: The room needs some details that would really make it fit the vibe that the hotel it trying to promote. There was only overhead lighting that was harsh and florescent and one floor lamp for a very large room. It would have been very nice to have bedside lamps as you have to turn off the lights and then walk in the dark to find your bed - not good for people who might be high. There was only a usb reading lamp, and someone had taken the cord for it so...there you go. In the bathroom there was no plug so if you want to dry/style your hair you must do so outside of the bathroom looking in from the hall. They could install another mirror by this plug to mitigate that problem. There was only one small trash can in the whole room in the bath. Another in the larger space, next to the fridge would have been appreciated. The layout of the room had cords running along the walls for the tv and fridge, which looked odd and not very college dorm. Water should be free, but was 10 dollars and we didn't touch it. The coffee pods were from Kirkland, so spring a little cash for some small bottles of free water - put a note that they are chilling in the fridge, and you are set. At check in you get "welcome bags" with some plastic sunglasses, some hydration powder (to mix into a bottle of water....) and earplugs. The location is right off the Sahara exit from the parkway and so there is a lot of road noise, - windows are thin, so I get it. The bed was comfortable and clean though linens were not especially soft. The evening entertainment did provide two dj's - we ended up buying tickets for the IYKTYK event but at the time we went, around 11:30 it was sparsely attended. The burlesque show didn't have specific times for performers so we didn't see them while we were there. I think the hotel has a lot of potential and with a few small tweaks in the room it would be much nicer and not really that expensive to employ.
