Fantastic stay in Dublin slightly...

Liked: The hotel has been beautifully built with all the rooms finished to a very high specification with comfortable beds. There is an excellent range of amenities within the rooms and a lovely attention to detail. Both breakfast and service at the bar was of exceptional quality. The location of the hotel is very pleasant amongst the Georgian townhouses and around a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of the city.Generally staff were very friendly and attentive, aside from the one encounter I've mentioned below.
Disliked: On the first night of our stay, the hotel hosted a private party in the bar, with a live band. Our group had three rooms in the hotel, two of which were on the first floor directly above the bar. My room was on the third floor, and even there, we could clearly hear the music until around midnight. I can't imagine how much louder it must have been for guests on the first floor. At 10:30 p.m, I called Reception to ask when the music would due to stop. They informed me it would end by 11 p.m., but as I mentioned, the band continued playing until after midnight. Seeing as guests had booked and paid to stay at the hotel primarily to sleep, I think this was relatively poor, especially as it was a private function (not for guests) - the hotel cashing in at Christmas in to the detriment of their guests. When we asked Reception the following evening if there would be another event, the staff were dismissive and told us we should have reported the noise if it was an issue. However, we had already brought it to their attention the previous night, and, frankly, their reception desk is directly opposite the bar. It shouldn't have taken a guest complaint to highlight how disruptive the noise was. It didn't ruin our stay but it certainly lowered energy levels the following morning!

Luxurious stay with attention to...

Liked: The attention to details. Very comfy bed. Staff were amazing and very friendly ( apart from downstairs restaurant manager) but it was NYE
Disliked: The manager in the downstairs restaurant wasn’t friendly and whilst I understand himQuestioning how long (exactly) we would be having drinks for on NYE he cOuld have done so with a smile. The manager upstairs on the other hand was the opposite and excellent. Couldn’t fault anything else at the hotel.
