Liked: The host was so friendly and welcoming. Bed was extremely comfortable and the food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. We liked the location, very close to Hayfield in beautiful Peak District countryside, and we enjoyed the walk up Lantern Pike hill which is right behind the inn.
Disliked: The room was quite small but perfectly adequate.

Liked: Mark the owner/manager couldn't do enough for us. His hospitality was spot on. All his staff were smiley and efficient, which made our stay more homely. The food was excellent, the bar was cosy and traditional. Everything , including our room was, in our opinion was an exceptional stay. Well worth the cost for a clean, comfy, well equipped room with everything you could ask for. Including luxury bath sheets!
