Dissapointing

Disliked: I found false Eyelashes with glue on them in the bed, There was also makeup on the bottom pillow which was not mine. It was obvious that the bed had not been changed before my arrival as if it had of been Neither of this issues would have arose. Very disappointed is an understatement. I spoke with lady on reception when checking out and she was disinterested and took eyelashes which i had wrapped in tissue paper and mumbled sorry about that.. Not great customer service.

Liked: PositivesPrice wise we were very happy to get away so cheap and so close to the city centre. Easy to find and get to no matter where you coming from. Location was more than ideal as there was a bus stop with buses coming every few minutes and depending on traffic it was 15 minutes or less to get in. Tesco across the road provided us with snacks for the night. Heating was good, a little warm for me, but my partner was happy with the sleeping temperature of the room. Shower heat and flow was perfect and easy to adjust. Bed was comfortable and clean.
Disliked: As a romantic night away it was not ideal for this hotel as advertised in my opinion. I would recommend it more for couples wanting to visit Dublin city centre.Footsteps and talking in the hallways are quite loud in the evening and made us uncomfortable a few times as it was like they were beside us, but then the noises disappeared after 11pm, something to consider if you sleep before 10/11pm. Due to this we had to whisper to each other after 10pm, so we would not disturb others as noise seemed to travel easily through walls, but we did not mind too much as we were watching movies in the room. The lights in the room worked fine, but I felt the bed lights were too bright when getting ready for bed, a lower Watt bulb should fix this easily. The shower door had a loose screw on one hinge so we had to lift the door just to close it. The bathroom light above the mirror was missing. We did not mind this, but I can imagine it would annoy others, so it should be a priority to be fixed for future guests.Pet peeveI was not a big fan of the old style of the room, they should consider modernising the rooms. This did not affect the stay at all. Following up with the subject of modernisation, the shower head was old and was fixed to the wall. They need to get rid of this and replace if with a modern shower system. I felt like showering at an old public swimming pool. At a minimum the bathroom should be modernism more if they want to keep the older style of the room. This part is just my opinion.
