Liked: The hotel and facilities were indeed 5* and most staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing.Our bedroom was beautiful, and the bed was super cosy and comfortable. My spa treatment was THE best treatment I have ever had, and Ruby took great care of me. I would thouroughly recommend it. It was expensive but worth every penny.Our 2 night stay was wonderful and we definitely did not want to leave.
Disliked: A small bottle of fizz - doesn't even have to be champagne - would be a nice gesture for people celebrating special occasions.

Liked: The immersive grounds was beautiful.
Disliked: - dinner was not 5*- the outside pool was not clean homing a frog, dead flies, leaves & frog spawn- wobbly dinner table, flickering lights on side of the manor house & overpriced drinks

Wonderful hotel, great rooms, service...

Liked: The building is great, new, well-designed and really well done. Rooms are excellent.
Disliked: The service doesn't match the price - I think they're still finding their feet. Really small things from the greeting when we arrived - For £600+ a night, I wouldn't expect to have to carry my bags up a flight of stairs into reception, to enter to an empty reception, or to have the wrong room. We requested a room in the main building and they'd put us in the other building, which in fairness they sorted. I'd also expect someone coming around by the pool taking food/drink orders, but there is no service in the spa, which feels like a huge oversight.
