Breakfast service was a shambles

Liked: Breakfast was excellent. The receptionist Finulla was so nice and helpful. Made us feel right at home.

Liked: Spacious room, big and comfortable bed, decent breakfast. The breakfast staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I received a call from someone named Brendan, two hours before my check-in time, informing me that due to a glitch caused by last week’s storm, my booking was missing from their system. Since the hotel was fully booked, they suggested booking me into a 3-star (!) hotel next door and covering the rate difference. I expressed my concerns, pointing out that this explanation didn’t make sense, especially since I had successfully checked in online, indicating my booking was indeed in the system. Additionally, offering a lower-grade hotel as a solution was not satisfactory. Eventually, they did locate my booking, but the entire experience was handled very unprofessionally.Furthermore, half of the hotel rooms, including the one we stayed in, overlook the restaurant roof with extractor fans that operate all night (see pic attached). The noise is quite disruptive, and if you're a light sleeper, it can keep you awake throughout the night. The design of the rooms is dated, lacking a cozy or welcoming atmosphere.

Liked: The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly always saying welcome and good morning . The lunch menu really good . Lovely lasagne and chicken curry , recommended !!
Disliked: Everything was good until last night if our stay were manager never came back to resolve the issue we had . It was unprofessional . The rooms very outdated . Damaged and very worn . Wouldn’t give 4 star to that hotel . 3 star maximum

Very good

Disliked: Towel was hanging on towel rail looked like it wasn’t changed. Staff got us a new set immediately. The carpet was very badly stained.

Amazing!

Liked: Amazing hotel. Staff super friendly. Room was very clean and spacious. Very tasty food in the restaurant! Will definitely come back.
Disliked: Only issue we had was with the radiator as it wasn't possible to select heating strength. While on, it was roasting in minutes. Luckily, it was possible to switch off the radiator completely.
