Liked: The staff were great , the food was lovely and the room very comfortable and clean .

Nice pub

Liked: The pub is nice and the food really tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Disliked: It is very noisy. You can hear everything in the room: restaurant downstairs, neighbours, etc. Bed wasn’t super comfortable.

Exceptional

Liked: The staff were friendly and welcoming. And we enjoyed our evening meal in the pub. Breakfast was nice too. We had a full english in the restaurant. This is the second time we have stayed here as it is handy for visiting Beamish.

Disliked: Room , dated and small with old black furniture. Strange odour in room

Disliked: A bit grubby - chipped paint, dirty stairCarpets

Liked: Adequate options, tasty cooked breakfast, undercooked crossiant, no toaster to make your own.
Disliked: Sticky table , not cleaned properly after use in bar area, no background music / radio . We ate in the bar as the restaurant was reserved for a childrens event.

Superb

Liked: Staff lovely, room super clean, great food menu, and breakfast cooked to order
Disliked: No hair dryer in room
