Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Center has a stunning location on the banks of the River Shannon. It is 12 mi from Limerick and Nenagh and just off the N7. The hotel with its restaurant and bar overlooks the linked towns of Ballina and Killaloe. Well-known sights include the 13-arch bridge and 13th-century cathedral. The towns offer access to the Shannon Waterway. The Arra Mountains of North Tipperary and Mount Bernagh of Clare form the hotel's setting. The leisure center has swimming pools a hot tub and a 120-foot water slide. There is also a gym sauna steam room aerobics studio and a supervised creche. Liked: Stayed for 2 nights , as attending a wedding… staff very attentive to our needs, nothing seemed to phase them

Not Superior

Liked: The location was superb, the bar was inviting and comfortable.
Disliked: I booked a Superior Lake View Room - I wouldn’t have classified anything about this room as Superior, the shower was cold both the evening I arrived and the following morning. The water pressure in the shower was poor- far far from what I would expect as a Superior room experience. Consequently I wouldn’t consider it good value for money.

Disliked: I have and ongoing dispute about 2 charges which I cannot identify. I am awaiting an explanation from the hotel for 3 days now.

Lovely staff, amazing food and...

Liked: Amazing property! Got upgraded to the lakeside room and the view was lovely. Room was so spacious and well decorated. Bed was comfortable had a great sleep. Food was really amazing as well
Disliked: Nothing
