Liked: The location was excellent,the staff were friendly and helpful.There was entertainment on the Friday and Saturday night which was fun!Also we had breakfast and an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was lovely and locally sourced.

Disliked: Friday and Saturday nights were very noisy - but the hotel did advise us beforehand so we knew what to expect.

Really disappointing

Liked: Confirmation email stated live music on a Friday/Saturday during the busy summer. As such didn’t expect it in March. Two nights of little sleep, not helped by room overlooking the high street. Could hear every word and ‘nighttime activity’ of guests in next room. Room itself dated and tatty. Discovered sweet wrappers on floor. No hairdryer despite a labeled drawer.

Liked: Abergavenny is beautiful town, really enjoyed it, had a breakfast and dinner at kings head hotel both outstanding, I had a full English breakfast what perfectly cooked egg and bacon, dinner was chicken Chennai to Cardiff, one of the best dish I ever had, definitely looking forward to seeing you again
