Liked: Our room was very comfortable.
Disliked: The reception desk at the back of the hotel was scruffy. The member of staff who checked us in was not very welcoming.

Liked: The staff, food and atmosphere were perfect. The old style of the property made it so unique
Disliked: The parking is very tight so everyone needs to ensure they park their cars with this in mind for other residents

Disliked: Heater behind the bed head was too close.

Liked: The location of the property was great. The room was cleaned every day.Tea&Coffee facilities.Bar staff lovely and friendly and food good. Breakfast was good with a nice choice.
Disliked: Met by an unhappy man at reception and felt like we were an inconvenience to him to book in.Lack of parking space in the car park.Smell of sewers on the first night.Noise from other roomsSaniflo noise throughout the whole night.

Liked: Damian, a friendly Manager, nice small oldy worldly Hotel, set in centre of Stow.
Disliked: Sadly only 1 real ale on and not 3. Also rooms 8-11 need a funicular to get up the stairs.

Lovely short break

Liked: Room was lovely and warm, comfy bed and housekeeping each day which we were asked if we wanted which was great, and they filled up the refreshments. Breakfast was very nice, glad there were other options as well as a standard full english, they were happy to accomodate breakfast requests not on the menu also. Location was great, in the centre of stow. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was great, always managed to get a spot around the back. Lovely break altogether.
Disliked: Our main issue was that there was a smell of drains in the downstairs of the hotel mainly near the toilets and also we would get an intermittent drain smell in our bathroom which was unpleasant. Also the shower was a bit dodgy, would all of a sudden go burning hot and then back to normla again. Assume they may have plumbing issues with the building being so old.
