Be careful, don’t book before...
Liked: The door to leave this nightmare
Disliked: My wife, two kids, and I had the worst stay ever. I trusted the 8.3 rating, but it’s completely misleading. Many 10-star reviews are likely fake, there’s no detail, and some even post incorrect photos (e.g., claiming there’s a pool and a 5th floor, which don’t exist). The hotel is more like an old, run-down motel. Only the lobby is basically renovated and they put up Christmas decorations. The receptionist was cold and unwelcoming, as was most of the staff. They required a $100 deposit, so I expected decent rooms, but we were shocked. The hallway was dark, damp, and musty. The room was just as bad—old furniture, outdated decor, dirty carpets, and a malfunctioning heater that alternated between hot and cold, making my whole family sick. The outlets barely worked, and my phone didn’t charge overnight. The fridge froze all our food, so we had to throw everything out. The “coffee bar” was a joke, expired muffins with mold and plastic-wrapped cakes. The bathroom was disgusting, with moldy faucets. We couldn’t leave because we had a baby and a child, and it was a busy season, but we counted the days to get out. We paid $500 for four nights, but it wasn’t worth even $50. The fake ratings and reviews are infuriating, I unfortunately not allowed to upload more than 4 photos. If you’re planning to visit New York City, the location is about 40 minutes away by car without traffic and you may have need to pay tolls.
