Nice place, but lacks up-to-date...

Liked: The breakfast was good with a variety of items. The cats, the chicken and the peacocks added a special flavor to the place. The person at the counter was super friendly. Our room was clean. The microwave and the fridge were useful.
Disliked: Some information we got at the inn for visiting places on the island turned out to be incorrect. For example, the lighthouse in the northeast, which is quite some distance away, requires a permit to visit. These are issued starting many days earlier. Since the number of permits issued is very small, one is essentially out of luck. We found everyone arriving there were in the same situation as we were. The worst was a visit to the northwest part of the island. Same problem with permits. Our main purpose for visiting this island was to hike there. We were unable to do so, not even the first two of the eleven miles, which has less severe restrictions. We found this out when we arrived there. The person at the inn was unaware of this. Essentially, including the lighthouse, we lost half the day. Same with another place we went to visit. We hope that the inn starts to keep up to date information about tourist attractions.

We absolutely loved this place...

Liked: We loved the common space and the whole vibe of the place. The staff were so kind and friendly. It really felt like we were sharing a great treasure. Loved the free loan of lawn chairs and snorkel gear. The breakfast was great
Disliked: The room was a little tired and could use an update, but this is also part of the charm. Maybe just new mattresses.
