Great location. Comfy room given...

Disliked: I expected to share a bathroom but with more personal space. This was like a coed dorm and not all guests respond appropriately. For instance a guest on our floor was washing up at the main sink instead of the shower stall. We had to walk past him to get to a toilet stall.

Liked: It was disgusting .. it’s a hostile w a shared bathroom that no one really tells u ( bookings .com) and bathroom has feces on the corner … I have a pic… u get a sheet 2 dirty pillows that I put towels to sleep … it was the worst experience !!!

Rough but wonderful.....like NYC

Liked: Very kind staff and very small but comfortable rooms with a very special and well chosen interior.Whitney Museum,High Line,Hudson,Grocery Stores and Subway were around the corner.....if you don't need too much comfort but just a quiet space to stay and sleep in NYC in an old house with atmosphere...this is your hotel!

Liked: Staff was cleaning all the time... Room and shared bathroom (including showers) were spotless.
Disliked: WIFI was wonky, at best. I barely had one bar on THEJANE's WIFI for an entire week. Tough to send/receive texts, phone calls. Remember most rooms are barely 50 sq. ft... like a large closet. No ice or vending. Visited during their remodeling so PLEASE ASK the status of same before booking. Some amenities may not be available as advertised.

Liked: Excellent location, Excellent staff, you walk around the hallways as if you’re watching a classic movie from the early 90s .

Liked: These little pod rooms seem to have been built 100 years ago to resemble sleeper cars on a train. Everything is in arms reach!
Disliked: A private club is under construction in the building so the hotel no longer has its elegant lobby, nor will it ever have the lobby again. The rooftop and the restaurant were also closed when I was there.
