It was like going to...
Liked: It was old, rustic, and generally nice if you spend 1000$ on a suite. The regular rooms are okay, theyre beat up, wallpaper and drywall cutouts from previous issues, shower doesn’t drain.
Disliked: We were there for 2 nights, getting back pretty late some nights and for the entire time we were there the keycard door scanner did not work. Maintenance men were required to, and no kidding, prybar/crowbar our door open so we could sleep. No different rooms were offered and no reimbursements given. Won’t stay here again unfortunately.

Overall a pleasant stay
Disliked: Mattress was too soft , fabric on bed frame was torn and stained, circular. metal bolts attaching shower railings to wall were very looseLoved the big refrigerator and kitchenette Nice big, spacious room

Liked: Friendly staff , clean and great location.
Disliked: I've stayed before with no problem but this time we were in a room next to people that had a Yappy little dog. Barking late at night and early in the morning. I love dogs but there was no attempt to quiet him down. A bit annoying .

Liked: The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. There are both bar and restaurant on site, should one wish to socialize or dine (dinner). Checking in was quick.Our stay included breakfast and dinner, both buffet. There were more than adequate hot and cold options from which to choose for both meals. Beverages included were juice, tea, coffee, water, cocoa.Parking was easy, included, and convenient.The hotel was decorated festive and bright for the winter holiday season. It looked cheery, upbeat.
Disliked: Reception was less than welcoming. No greeting, little eye contact, no smile. They checked us in but nothing friendly or pleasant. New York can't be bothered to be hospitable - it wasn't just the front desk. We encountered and overheard several staff members unhappy with their jobs, talking about last-minute cancellations and no-shows, and bookings that backed out. In the dining room where buffet-eating guests ate, the staff was almost afraid to engage even to say "good morning" in reply to my own. Are they not happy or proud to work there? Didn't appear so. While the interior public spaces were decorated to be festive, the staff was broody, unhappy and disengaged with guests. If the establishment was glad to have anyone's business, it wasn't apparent.
