Great location for a one...
Liked: The property is very centrally located in Harrogate with a great choice of restaurants nearby. Very easy to walk to the shops, Bettys and the Turkish Baths so great in that regard. Parking at the property is very limited and very tight…the hotel also introduced a £10 charge for using their tiny car park which is a little cheeky but still. Room was comfortable enough albeit quite noisy. It was nicely decorated but didn’t feel overly clean to me. Also smelt a little bit funky when we first walked in.Breakfast was good the next morning and was served to your table which is a nice touch. Staff all seemed friendly and accommodating.

Harrogate is definitely worth visiting....
Liked: The location was good, very central to shops, restaurants and nightlife. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The outside terrace area was a welcome addition especially as the weather was good. Couldn’t fault the breakfast, it was very nice and great value as it was included in the price of the stay. The bar and restaurant area was clean and welcoming. The check in process was quick and easy on arrival. The hotel is ok for a cheap one night stay.
Disliked: The parking area at the back of the hotel was limited and spaces tight. We were allocated room number 13. It wasn’t clear when booking that our room was off site situated at the rear of the hotel opposite the car park and bin area. The room was on the ground floor. The front of the accommodation has two large windows/doors the bed is situated right in the large window. We had to keep the curtains closed at all times. The room was very hot. There was only one small window that we could open. We had to keep it closed as there was a lot of noise from the back of the hotel, car park and bin area. The room was very basic and tired looking, not as clean as I would have expected. The bathroom could really benefit from some refurbishment, it looked grim in some areas. The curtains could do with being lined for privacy and to keep the room cool and prevent the sun glaring in first thing in the morning. I have to say the room was very disappointing. The main part of the hotel seemed to be much better. Our room had to be accessed through the rear of the hotel where the staff exited. Our room was situated adjacent to the hotel bins which was extremely noisy when bottles were being deposited.

Hotel was lovely, location was...
Liked: The room was lively however it was right over the bar area at the front and there was quite a bit of noise. Would have preferred a room in a quieter part. The room had already been paid for however there was no record of this being done and was made to prove with bank statements and a receipt from payment. Even then the staff member remained skeptical that it had been paid for. It needs a better system for keeping note of payments made.

Great location and beautiful food...
Liked: Great location and really friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast in the morning was stunning and our penthouse room was beautiful with lots of room
Disliked: As we were at the top floor we had to battle 5 flights of stairs with 2 suitcases without a lift, or any offer for anyone to take our bags up. Everything was very clean expect a few drinking glasses that weren’t properly clean with dirty marks in the bottom. The patio windows were really marked and the glass outside on the balcony was dirty and cobwebbed: We had so much space but I feel some of it was wasted as we had a huge room but a really small area that doubled up as a tea station and dressing table. With a chair cramped in that faced the wrong way. So it was really cramped. Where as there was plenty of space to have a separate tea station and a seperate dressing table area. These are really small critiques that I feel could just be improved upon when you are paying the top rate for the best room.
