Won't stay at Hotel 1252...

Liked: Room was clean.
Disliked: Extremely noisy. Charge for parking was deceptive. This is not San Francisco. Many nearby similar hotels don't charge for parking.

would go there again

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff (exceptionally good). for a motel style hotel it's surely one of the better ones. things were working, and well maintained. there was a fridge, micro wave, coffee and tea, a good bed. we felt well served and recommend the place for Monterey.
Disliked: the heating is loud, like every where in US hotels. the USA know little about efficiency heating, let alone insolation. but that is not specific to this hotel.

Not the right Inn....

Disliked: This is an old cinder block hotel with. tj y rooms and semi recent home depot facelift. There are fifteen hotels on the same street all cheaper and just as nice. Had I known this is t really the Inn at Monterey I would not have stayed here. They are counting on the name fooling people. It's an old motel 6 with a coat of paint and the same cockroaches.

The hotel was convenient to...

Liked: The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were updated and clean.
Disliked: I did not like that there was a $10 fee for parking because I booked through Booking.com. My friend stayed at this hotel and booked directly with the hotel and didn't pay the $10 parking fee. When I asked at the front desk about parking on the street, it sounded like it was a block or more away. However, there was free street parking right near the hotel driveway. The great deal through Booking.com was not a deal because there was the parking fee.
