Liked: Quiet room, excellent breakfast, in centre of town and good access to the bus stops.

Liked: The staff were welcoming and friendly, local regulars in the bars likewise. Easy car parking. The breakfast was very good but limited menu, Offered "top ups" of toast, tea etc. Some interesting historical features. This has obviously been a good hotel in the past and with some TLC and better domestic care could be again.Good Wi-Fi and TV.
Disliked: General run down state from the fenced off out buildings with collapsing roof and tatty notices to the badly mildewed tiny shower cubicle.Grubby paint work, poor standard of maintenance. No catering facilities although there is a reasonable menu in the bedroom. Small single beds and shabby furniture.
