Lovely hotel, will definitely be...

Liked: unfortunately came to Devon to visit very sick relatives in Barnstable hospital. After a very harrowing visit, it was lovely to relax and unwind in such lovely surroundings. Drink in the bar and relaxing dinner.
Disliked: Should have booked a larger room. Found the room slightly small, only complaint, no bedside tables.

Calm and relaxed

Liked: Staff helpful and very courteous. Restaurant service excellent and a pleasure not to scramble at self service buffet as has become so common in many other hotels. Please don't change this!Restful, comfortable lounge- beautiful room for relaxing.
Disliked: Twin room. Just one comfortable chair. TV in corner between window and bathroom so not easy to relax and watch from any angle.

Disliked: Confusion at reception regarding the booking, payment and setting up of the room key. Staff could only be described as nonchalant.The room was small, as expected but the bed was really small, barely big enough for two.
