Comfortable inn let down by...

Liked: The room was lovely, as were the staff. Very clean and modern, with a comfortable bed as well.
Disliked: The Huntsman needs to look at the food it offers. The breakfast was limited (no fruit, yoghurts etc...), so if you're not keen on cereals you're stuck. Cooked breakfast OK, last morning bacon was overcooked.The main problem was dinner. Not up to standard. My husband's steak was overcooked and oversalted, and the haddock and chips thin and overcooked. £18.50? We should have gone to the local fish and chip shop. The best thing was the olives, which were nothing to do with the chef. We were very disappointed. Poor value for money. We suggest clients do B & B only, and eat out elsewhere in the evening.

Liked: Location ,staff very friendly and Evening meal excellent.
Disliked: Room needs curtains,not just vertical blinds as these lack total privacy. Bath needs a grab rail on the wall.Breakfast was disappointing,no yogurts or fresh fruit but cooked food was very nice.

A perfect stay

Liked: I am reluctant to praise this property too much in case too many people visit and there might be no room for me in the future!All I can say is that there was nothing to fault. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The location was peaceful. The food was excellent and the staff were all pleasant and helpful.

Liked: Really nice small hotel/pub restaurant with rooms. Clean and comfortable in great quiet location. Breakfast included was generous and well cooked. As was the evening mrnu in rhevrestaurant. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Great for a one night or short stay.
Disliked: Nothing really that affected our one night. However rooms was small for more than a short stop over, as there was no space for seating, so had to sit on bed. Very small tv as well.
