Liked: Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were brilliant. Did everything to help make our stay perfect.

Perfect location. Lovely welcoming staff....

Liked: The location was perfect for exploring the city. We could walk everywhere. The building has been really well restored and the rooms were really lovely. Gabriela at the reception was so friendly and helpful. We were visiting for my daughters birthday treat and were given a fabulous street facing room and a delicious brownie birthday cake! This just added to our fantastic trip to this very picturesque city.

Liked: Amazing location, reasonable rates, and a large room!

Great location, clean and basic...

Liked: Great location, staff was kind and friendly (especially Ines and Claudia). It was clean and quiet - never hear other guests from our room.
Disliked: While the room is comfortable and has everything one could need, the bed was not very comfortable - rather hard and basic. Pillows were all lumpy. The light in our bathroom would not turn out - we told the front desk and they were unable to fix it, so they gave us complimentary breakfast throughout our stay, which we appreciated (but we did have light coming into the bedroom all night).

Exceptional

Liked: It was a lovely room with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, interesting view. Super breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked: It could be noisy from the road but in a city you expect that.

Worth it

Liked: Situated best area of Ribeira
Disliked: Staff were not so friendly except Gabrielle

Overall I was satisfied but...

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: The mattress is so hard, bad for side sleepers. The carpet in the hall needs to be replaced or ripped out, it give off an unpleasant scent. The room was tiny to the point it was difficult to function.
