Amazing stay!

Liked: Amazing view, very good location, very friendly staff and stylish room facilities. The House of Sandeman it's amazing, very comfortable, clean, spacious and the staff is exceptional, with very good vibes and willing to help in everything always. Very good location in Vila Nova de Gaia, stylish room facilities and one of the best views to Porto over the Douro river.

Nice place - great location...

Liked: Perfect location- great view and close to everything. The private room includes special order breakfast, which was plentiful. Nice lounge and bar area that are opened 24/7.
Disliked: The stairs- not ideal if you have lots of suitcases (we had 5) or weak legs. There is no lift but there seems to have a sit individual lift for person only (not for suitcases). Our private room was just one set of stairs from the lounge and you can hear the noise. Heard a woman whining and/or crying (sounds drunk), and chatting with someone friend m 1-3am or so. We were surprised no staff was there to shut her up since it’s that late being quiet hours. Similar incident the second night and I when I opened the door, which could be heard from the lounge, she stopped her drama stopped.

Liked: This is one of the best hostels out there, great views, unique interior, cozy rooms, helpful staff, free breakfast, and all for a good price.
Disliked: Bit of a walk to central Porto, but it has excellent views of the ribeira along the way.
