We will stay here again...
Liked: The hotel was very convenient to the University, which is why we chose it.
Disliked: It was our first visit to College Park and staying at this hotel. The staff member who checked us in was not very informative. He didn’t really tell us much about the facility. Did not even mention the Iron Rooster restaurant that we went to with our daughter on the last day. It was amazing! We would have ate there the whole weekend. We were double-charged for sodas from the gift shop, when we questioned the charge the following morning the lady at the front desk just kept saying “so and so knows the prices, I don’t know why he’d do that? Are you sure you only got two.?” She was basically accusing us of lying. We wanted to extend our stay and this caused complete chaos. I had to book another room on booking.com. Then the next morning had to go check-out and back in. We weren’t able to check-in for some reason, so the gentleman at the front desk left a note. We were gone most of the morning for a hospital visit. When we arrived back we were told there was an issue. The manager worked it out, but it was frustrating because I did make sure they knew twice that we wanted to stay over. Our room was not cleaned due to the error, which wasn’t a huge deal. The room rate for a Wednesday was $40 more for a Thursday.

Great location & nice staff...
Liked: Nice room, great location, friendly staff.
Disliked: The room type we reserved (two double beds) wasn't available. We ended up in a room with a king bed and a pullout sofa. The pullout sofa wasn't comfortable at all (I was on that and didn't sleep well the entire stay). My daughter was on the king bed - it was better than the sofa bed, but still not that comfortable (a little softer would have been nice). Also, the items available at the hotel store left a lot to be desired. One night I had a headache but there was no medicine like Tylenol or Advil available - not sure if they are not carried or just out of stock (disappointing either way). Also the food options at the store weren't ideal - there weren't many healthy options and some of the items required a microwave (but there was no microwave in our on room!).

Chaotic
Liked: Location is amazing and the restaurants are really good.
Disliked: Check in is an absolute nightmare and this has been my same complaint for 4 years. They are overcommitted whether it’s weddings - sporting events or seminars. There is not enough staff or automation in the check in process. Using Booking.com always poses a problem for them as they will say your room was cancelled for one reason or another (even though I have a confirmation). Then after a few calls to a superior manager to figure it out.
