Lovely old pub with welcoming...

Liked: Great location - we were on our way to the Cheltenham Festival. We arrived a little later than planned but we were given a great choice of excellent food and drinks and immediately relaxed. Our room was at the top of the building through a tiny door which opened up into a beautiful large bedroom, lovely furnishings and bed linen, with a huge en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and white tiling and the best loo roll holder I've ever seen. Lovely views to the countryside beyond. Very comfortable bed and good choice of hot drinks and biscuits. The next morning we had an excellent breakfast before setting off. We had stayed here before some years ago but it has a really lovely atmosphere.
Disliked: Shower head in bathroom had to be hand held but not really a problem in the scheme of things

Beautiful location, lovely food, amazing...

Liked: The stuff were kind especially the lady that served us breakfast on Sunday was just amazing and soo nice to us. Breakfast was just beautiful with warm tasty pain au chocolates and many other delicious treats and so was the dinner. I am a vegetarian and I did find an amazing dish for me. It wasn’t just a pub dinner but it was quite a fine dinner for us.
Disliked: It was bit noisy in the evening and i could hear people talking downstairs in our room upstairs but i understand that it’s a very old building. The noise dies down after 9-10. Then it was very peaceful. Also in the morning it was quiet and blissful.

Liked: Lovely old pub with great rooms. Comfortable, clean, well appointed with coffee pot and good coffee, water and milk in glass bottles. And chocolate chip cookies. I was going to a local lunch and they turned the room around so I could check in early and change. Very helpful and friendly. Loads of parking
Disliked: Breakfast not til 9am on Sunday so left before then. Not huge problem for me though.
