The hotel is great fun, but the room itself sucked. Try to request a newly renovated room upon booking.

Liked: Great staff (shout out to Antoine at Public Bar); good music at pool; nice lobby; late checkout 12:30.
Disliked: Room lighting is terrible; room had a weird smell; awful picture above bed of a junked out rocker type; very expensive room service; thin walls.

Liked: Great location! With the hotel such an old hotel you wouldn’t know once you step inside. From the friendly valet staff, to the welcoming reception staff it started my stay off really well. The history of the hotel is still shown throughout and has such a great feel. With Hollywood boulevard right at your doorstep you can step out of the old Hollywood feel straight into modern day Hollywood. I will most definitely be back here when I return!

Liked: The location is always great. Traffic blows.
Disliked: 1 Elevator down the entire time- this happened another time we were there. We had breakfast by the pool. Avocado Toast with an egg for 2 people, coffee for 2 and our bill was $100? No alcohol. Our room was on the 3rd floor. We had a lovely view of the ac units, the room looked worn out, and the curtains were dingy- the pull shade had several spots that were torn.

Liked: Hotel was lovely, great location, great architecture. staff mostly helpful - "Raven" in particular! Pool was very good, maybe a tad loud, food was good, and parking was sorted with no issues
Disliked: lifts regularly didn't work, Air con broke down several times a day. Rooms felt very dated, but most staff good, BUT was very busy and they seemed very stressed. 1 member of reception staff made you feel like you were the problem.

Liked: Room was comfortable and quiet, hallway noise was mostly good except for some late guests.location was great and bar service and staff were very good.
Disliked: Your hidden fees - or not informing customer of baggage hold charge when we actually tipped the person who held our luggage. Transparency is important. And not going over all of your other fees which added up quickly. That should be worked on with your company .

Liked: Great location near attractions. Lovely big room, bathroom and high-end toiletries.Staff were very helpful finding us a quiet room at very early check-in.Poolside ambience was perfect.
Disliked: A coffee/tea maker in the room would be great
