The hotel is great fun, but the room itself sucked. Try to request a newly renovated room upon booking.

Liked: Great staff (shout out to Antoine at Public Bar); good music at pool; nice lobby; late checkout 12:30.
Disliked: Room lighting is terrible; room had a weird smell; awful picture above bed of a junked out rocker type; very expensive room service; thin walls.

Liked: I enjoyed so many things during my stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt. I really liked all the amenities that the hotel provides (especially the pool and spa services). I also loved how comfortable my room was as well.
Disliked: The price was a bit higher than I thought it would be and considering that there are other hotels nearby.

Disliked: There was a Halloween party the night I stayed so the lounge was closed to hotel guests. Elevator took a long time as people from the party were using them.

Liked: Pool area was gorgeous and I cant think of a nicer place to eat breakfast in Hollywood. Brasserie restaurant was excellent!
Disliked: Service at the pool was terrible. At the hotel, one of the elevators wasnt working so had to use the service elevator. The room was cute, but showed signs of wear/tear. The black carpet in the hallway looked dingy and as is the case with black carpet every piece of lint is evident so it never looked clean. And check in was slooow -- you had to enter all your details all over again on an ipad. Why??

Liked: Well, it's iconic, isn't it? The poolside and the lobby are unmatched. Great bedding. Good, dimmable mood lights.
Disliked: The rooms are OK, not fabulous. Small, dim, cold floors. $400 and NO COFFEE MACHINES in rooms?? Unacceptable.

Liked: Location, on the Hollywood boulevard. Rooms are good size and the bed is comfortable. Able to open the window in the bathroom which is not so common.
Disliked: Quite expensive compared to other high end (more modern) hotels in the area.
